Two families leave China 100 years ago, This is a journal recording their passage, their so-journ in Borneo and then on to Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, England and beyond. A fascinating account of how time and place have changed the members.

climbing trees
Me
and my sis Margaret used to climb up a big tropical rain tree. The fork must
be at 6-7 feet.
We just sat doing nothing. Once, she jumped, perfect
landing, I jumped, and landed on my ankle. I must have sprained it,
didn't dare to tell. and it hurt for months. We were told not to climb trees.
