Croquet has a reputation for being a genteel game for garden parties and picnics. I saw pictures of Victorian ladies playing croquet and I felt embarrassed that Father played croquet.
He explained it was a fiercely competitive game of skill, precision and strategy for teams or individuals.
It was only in 2011, that I had a chance to play croquet. In deed it wasn't easy to play, far from being a genteel ladies' game. Here, you see me with my Kai Ma and Kai siblings in Christchurch, New Zealand.
